I’ve been using Cross Americans product for over 7 months [Jaguar 8.4], and have had zero down-time. We run 175 feet of hose easily, with no noticeable difference, I can easily run 200 foot if needed. This machine will reach anywhere. We clean tile & grout, the pump will easily run a spinner @ 800 PSI. Normally I keep it around 300-350 for carpet, and lower it to around 100 for Upholstery and some area rugs.
Keep it on the van ETM, slide it to the porch, porch mount. Apartments no problem, very versatile machine, and light enough to slide it on and off the truck. Just had a pleasant conversation with Mr. Valentine regarding auto-fill and auto-dump. Any questions you have, give them a call over there and you’ll get educated.
My setup, Jaguar 8.4, 175 feet of vac/solution hose, Little giant 3ht Propane heater. No complaints, setting on fitting a generator in the van to save some time on jobs. Super high quality product, and Mr. Valentine is a great man passionate about his business!
Thank you for this great product. Best regards, Elvis

Ed V, I just have to say what a great machine you built. I’m have been an operations manager for several big cleaning companies over the years. We used everything on the market for indoor carpet cleaning, most are so-so. It’s seems like there is always something, size, power, hose to short, wands a joke and the list goes on. What a relief it is to have the Jaguar 8.4 ETM on board with my company. The size is just right, power is off the charts and the options on the 8.4 help make life a lot easier while cleaning. Auto fill & Dump, nice placement with the switches, pressure gauge (that a old man like me can read) nice adjustable 800 psi, which makes it easy to different types of jobs.
This is just what my company needs in the world of janitorial cleaning. I sub contract for a friend of mine who owns a master franchise in commercial cleaning. Any given day I can be in a basement cleaning a hard surface or the 14th floor cleaning grout, My friend Eric was wanting to see the Jaguar 8.4 perform on one of his biggest accounts. No pressure here, contract ends in December, new director who can’t stand the appearance of the carpet in the large public areas within his facility. Long story short, the new director was very impressed with dry time, how the overall cleanliness of the carpet looked.
Eric is all smiles and is still getting compliments from his client. Now, I do all their carpet, upholstery and floor care. Cross American has a great reputation for customer service, you treat me like family, it separates you from the competition and that my friend, you cannot put a price on! In the janitorial cleaning world where everything is mass produced, it’s nice to have independent manufacturing company like yourself to choose from. Merry Christmas, Paul Dennison, Tenn.

Well, I took the new Cub for its first run out today. Where do I start? ok, it’s light, when I say light I mean light, I can carry it single handed up a flight of stairs.. and I am not a big man..
Once set up I did a few experiments regarding hose sizes, first was a 1.5″ hide-a-hose.. this worked ok.. I say ok as it did it’s job but I could tell it was restricting the machine somewhat.. so I hooked up the 2″ hose and the machine came into it’s own, sucking like …………….. insert whatever you want there.. … 😆 vast improvement over the 1.5″ hose.. The pump pressure as all that’s needed, it flushed the carpets with ease.
Setting up and emptying was a straightforward event, nice and simple, just remember to bleed the pump for a couple of second before use.. I use the yellow hose to empty and rinse the machine.. any water or grit that’s left in the bottom, just tip the machine forward over a bucket and give it a swirl round with the house and job done.. it’s no problem and easier to empty than other machines I have used..
Final verdict : it’s a game changer, I can see me using it a lot, many reasons why, it’s easy to maneuver, it’s light, it’s quick to setup and easy to clean, it’s out performed any expectations I had and it’s was a time saver on the job today, it’s more powerful than any machine in its size class that I have used before…. Very happy and one of the best buys yet !!

I’ve used the Jaguar CUB for a few days now and I am very impressed. The vac is super strong and a 300-350 psi pump is all I need. I have cleaned over 15 yrs using heated and non heated portables and this is the best I’ve seen. It’s hard to believe the CUB at 46 pounds can do a better job than the machines I have used that weigh over a 100 pounds but it’s the honest truth. I appreciate the help and thanks for making a great machine! Travis Price

Hello Ed, Wow, doesn’t time fly! Only this weekend we were reminiscing over the last few years and wondering where the time went. It all happened soooooo quick! of our hearts strings and we’re busy saving for.
As for the Jaguar 6.6 (Grandfather of the JAG 8.4) , it’s an awesome piece of kit and I absolutely love it. And it’s not just the performance but the user friendliness too for the way I use it i.e. van-mounted.
May I take this opportunity to wish you, your family and all of your team at Cross American a prosperous and Happy New Year.
God Bless to you all. Ken Wainwright, UK

“Where do I start in regards to just how great the Industrial JAGUAR machine is? ” I have been in this industry now for 20 years and not one portable machine has even come close to the Jaguar. I have owned 3 TM’s in that time and I can honestly say that I don’t miss them whatsoever. Yes TM’s have there place in our industry but so does a portable unit.
Let me just say that “THIS IS NOT A TM V’s PORTABLE DEBATE”
The Jag is very light in weight compared to other portables, so when not using it mounted I find movability is spot on. Reliability is always a demand and a must for us carpet cleaners and I can honestly say that the Jag has been nothing short of reliable. This unit has been in constant use day in, day out for the past 2 years and is still going strong. Auto fill and auto dump are just yet more features that makes my working day even more of a pleasure. I never have any problems connecting to a customers supply, it really makes things run smoother. Ok the power of this beast, hell have no fury as a Jag 6.6! The jag is an absolute monster, I made a couple of videos demonstrating (YouTube Page) just how powerful the Jag is and people are simply amazed that you can achieve such power and results from a portable unit. 150ft of hose and still the Jag is roaring for more, it is quite simply staggering and amazes me each and every day of use. My customers carpet and soft furnishings are completely dry within a couple of hours. I can honestly say that Ed V you have created one hell of a machine and I look forward to whatever comes next! All the very best in health and success for the future.

The handles are very solid. The vacuum motors the 8.4 Ametek’s are the best in the business. They are rated to go 1500 hours and there are ones out there that have reached that and are still going. Jim Morrow with his CA Jaguar has proven the durability and reliability of theCA extractor. The solution system works extremely well with a Pumptec 205 powered by a capacitor start capacitor run 1/2HP Marathon motor. It has auto fill auto discharge.
These machines are made for long hose runs without sacrificing fast drying times. Every machine is custom built by Cross-American. They continue to make improvements and now his Jaguar 8.4 is a true industrial machine. Looks are in the eye of the beholder. Reliability and being a very powerful portable/ETM is what the Jaguar 8.4 is. Leave it on the truck or on the porch. It will utilize plenty of vacuum hose for superior carpet cleaning power hour after our day after day and year after year!”

What are some advantages of the unique Cross-American JAGUAR 8.4 Industrial system? Well, lets see;
1. What machine makes best use of the two largest high-tec vacuum motors?
2. What machine was engineered to best utilize CFM’s with minimum resistance to airflow?
3. What machine put it’s practicality & design (unique lid designed baffles/air slots) for getting the job done before appearances? – though I love the way it looks.
4. What machine protects the vacuum motors by leaving a small amount of water in the waste tank, to stop dirt and soiling finding it’s way in to the stack pipes and in to the vacs? Water at the bottom helps avoid this. A bit like why you spray down some water on a dusty garage floor, before you sweep up! Also stops dust re-circulation inside home.
5. What machine was built to survive WW3. Damn that machine’s tough!
6. What machine makes you think there’s an engine at the end of your vac hose?
7. Extremely durable but lightweight compared to others.
JAGUAR 8.4 is extremely durable but lightweight compared to others and makes you think there’s an engine at the end of your vac hose.
Dear Ed, Well, the performance has impressed me. Ok with the Scorpion it was never hard to have a carpet dry to touch within an hour but 15 minutes!!! We do regular cleaning at a school & this time used the Jag. Filthy classroom that needed rinsing & we were amazed to find dry areas that we’d only extracted 15ish minutes before. Synthetic in a smelly eot—- dry within 15 mins. If I’m honest I say the performance was 35% more powerful than the Scorpion & I was very happy with mine.

I have seen the machine in depth, the (Cross-American) machines are very well built. I also have seen how the equipments are improving over the years. If you ask me what is the best carpet extractor to buy now on the market, I would say Jaguar. I was the first person on the forums saying the best motors are the 8.4, now I see them in the Cross-American machines.

Dear Ed, I would like to congratulate Mr. Valentine. I really believe that more than ever before people are looking for something different than the typical truckmounts or even typical portables. I have heared many a complaints from gasoline truckmount owners concerning reliabity and cost of buying and then repairing these machines. Several years ago not that many people had heard about Cross-American and their wonderful machines. Cross-American even uses this same philosophy with how they package their chemicals. Instead of shipping you chemical and water cross-americans chemical come in syrup form so you don’t pay for shipping water. What a great idea! I have dealt with many large manufacturers over the many years that I have been in the carpet cleaning business and as a distributor for carpet cleaning products cross-american has always come through for me. Now they are doing business across the Atlantic and things are better than ever. So again I congratulate my very good friend Ed Valentine and all the people at cross-american for their hard work and integrity.
